How your bra size is calculated.
To measure your bra size fist we calculate the band size also known as the back size. If the under bust measurement is an odd number, 5 inches is added and if it's even, 4 inches are added. So, if the under bust is 31 inches your band size is 36 inches and if the under bust is 32 inches the band size is 36 inches.

Then to get the cup size we subtract the band size from the bust measurement. If the difference is plus 1 inch the cup size is a B cup plus 2 inches C cup and so on.

Getting the right fit
Bra sizes may vary slightly between brands and styles and you should always check your bra fits correctly. Symptoms of an ill fitting bra include the back band riding up your back, sholder straps digging in and breasts bulging over the top of your bra.
